MORE than 400 paintings by 28 artists will be on display at West Wycombe Art Group’s Annual Summer Exhibition over the August Bank Holiday, starting with a preview evening on Friday August 24.

This ever-popular event provides a perfect platform to exhibit a huge array of colourful and exciting work, including limited edition cards, unframed works, and sculpture, all of which will be available for purchase.

Established 30 years ago, West Wycombe Art Group prides itself on being one of the most professional in the area.

This year’s featured artist is Tessa Powell. A long-time native of Watlington, Tessa has been a member of the group for five years. She has gained recognition for her portraiture and life studies, although latterly she has specialised in abstract painting.

Apart from commissions and local exhibitions, she has also exhibited at Oxford Modern Art - and featured on the television show 'A Brush with Fame'!

The exhibition runs for four days over the Bank Holiday weekend, at West Wycombe Village Hall (Friday: 10:00 - 17:00, Saturday - Monday: 10:00 - 18:00). Entry is free.
