THE Buckinghamshire heats for the Dance: Make Your Move competition are on March 3 and 17 at The Beaconsfield School. The nationwide competition raises money for the British Red Cross and groups who reach the finals will perform at London's Indig02 in July. It is open to all dancers under the age of 18, with two age brackets (four to 11 and 12 to 18). Groups who win the heats will perform at an area final at The Radley College on July 7. THEARTE Royal Windsor has launched a new talent competition called Windsor's Battle of the Bands, which is open to bands of all ages and musical genres within Berkshire and the surrounding area. Auditions will take place throughout February and March and 15 bands will be chosen to play at the Live Final at 7pm on April 15. The deadline for band applications is February 29. WYCOMBE Orpheus Male Voice Choir presents a special charity concert in aid of South Bucks Hospice at Beaconsfield High School on Saturday, February 11 at 7.30pm. This will be the Orpheus’ first concert of 2012 and the first with new accompanist Thelma King who has taken over from Michael McMillan. The choir will present a wide-range of music, from popular hymns and gospel songs, to pop songs and songs from the shows.
