AS winter sets in we all need something to brighten our evenings. And Pyramid Health and Fitness think they have found the answer in a new dance craze called Masala Bhangra.
The first session of Masala Bhangra was launched on Wednesday night and hopes to take Wycombe by storm.
It combines the moves of Bhangra, a folk dance of northern India, with the excitement of Bollywood to create a full-body workout set to Asian inspired beats.
Alice Ramcharran, founder of Pyramid Health & Fitness Ltd, said: “At Pyramid we are always looking for the next big thing. I brought Zumba to the local area back in 2009 when there were just a handful of instructors in the UK and was overwhelmed by its popularity.
"I am confident that Masala Bhangra will be the hottest fitness movement since Zumba and know that people will love mixing the traditional Indian moves with some more intensive exercise to get a real workout while having fun too.”
The classes will be every Wednesday nights at Millbrook School, Mill End Lane, High Wycombe from 7-8pm. For more information go to www.pyramidfitness.co.uk. Pay as you go classes are £6 per session.
