Wycombe Wanderers have confirmed the squad numbers for the club’s latest acquisitions.

The Chairboys announced on Transfer Deadline Day that they had confirmed the signings of goalkeeper Shamal George from Livingston for an undisclosed fee, after his release clause was met by the Adams Park side, along with West Bromwich Albion defender, Caleb Taylor.

The latter has arrived at Adams Park on a season-long loan.

Following their arrivals, they have been issued their new squad news for the campaign, with goalkeeper George taking the 19 shirt, which was last worn by the 2023/24 Player of Year Freddie Potts, whilst Taylor will don the number 37.

Livingston’s first-team manager David Martindale told the club’s website: “We knew this was always potentially on the cards and Jerome (Prior) was already recruited and in place for this eventuality, so we’ve been planning internally for Shamal’s release clause being triggered after relegation.

“Of course, the timing isn’t great but that’s football and we’re prepared and ready to move on.

“Shamal goes with our best wishes and for me, he really grew into the role week-on-week and became a very consistent and dependable goalkeeper as our number 1.

“He will be a loss no doubt, but Jerome has the opportunity now to become the number 1 and a fan favourite.

“We’re losing a top goalkeeper in Shamal but we’re in a good place and have been planning this behind the scenes for a number of months already.”
