Wycombe Wanderers' home match against Mansfield Town has been postponed due to the international break.

Both the Stags and the Chairboys have had several players receive call-ups for their respective nations, but it was the Nottinghamshire-based team that requested the change of date.

This comes after Lucas Akins (Grenada), Keanu Baccus (Australia) and Ben Waine (New Zealand), all received invites to play for their countries.

For Wanderers, Joe Low (Wales) and Jaiden Bartolo (Gibraltar) also picked up call-ups for the upcoming international weekend on September 7/8.

A new date will be announced in due course.

This season is the first since the 2002/03 campaign that Nigel Clough’s side are back in the third tier of English football.

The last time to two teams meet was in December 2017, with the Stags beating the Chairboys 2-1 at Adams Park.

This isn’t the only match focusing on Wanderers to be moved in September.

Wycombe had been due to play the Brighton & Hove Albion U21s in the EFL Trophy on September 24 at Adams Park.

However, due to the Chairboys being drawn against Premier League Aston Villa in the League Cup that week, the clash between the Adams Park side at the young Seagulls will take place one week earlier on September 17.

Wanderers’ next game in any capacity will be against Northampton Town on September 14 at Sixfields.

That match will kick-off at 12.30pm.
