Wycombe Wanderers manager said he is ‘proud’ as he prepares to take charge of his 50th game in charge of the club this weekend.

The Chairboys face Lincoln City with the Adams Park side aiming to record their fifth game in all competitions without defeat.

In his previous 49 matches at the helm, he enjoyed 18 wins, suffered 19 defeats and experienced 12 draws.

He said: “To get to 50 games is great and I hope it’ll be one of many milestones it’s a nice number to tick off and I want to celebrate it in style.

“There have been good moments and indifferent moments and right now, we’re on a good ride and we want to continue that.

“The difference between winning and losing as a manager is huge so I want to win as much as I can.

“I want us to put a performance out there which we can be proud of as that’s what it’s about for me.

“Coming off the back of what Gaz [Gareth Ainsworth] did here meant there was a time of change here and I’ve been fortunate to create something at Wycombe.”

The 39-year-old also hinted that he has got some ‘selection headaches’ going into the contest against the Imps.

This is off the back of a very good showing against the West Ham U21s on January 9, which saw a much-changed Wanderers side defeat the Hammers 2-1 to progress into the quarter-finals.

He continued: “I need to be clever in terms of which players I can use at certain times.

“All our boys need to be at it and ready to go so we need to make sure we utilise them.

“The West Ham game was a good opportunity to allow players to be played in different positions and with the fixture schedule, we need as many players as possible.”
