For the first time in two weeks, Wycombe Wanderers will play a domestic fixture, and it will be against one of the promotion favourites in League One.
The Chairboys are on a good run of form with eight wins from their last 12 in all competitions, whilst their opponents have only lost three times in the league all season.
So what can we expect when Wycombe travel to Peterborough United this weekend?

How do you see it going? #Chairboys #PUFC
Lowdown on Wanderers
Wycombe have improved massively since August as they have only been defeated twice in the league since August.
This led manager Matt Bloomfield to be nominated for the League One Manager of the Month award for September, but he would lose out to former Wanderers teammate John Mousinho, who is in charge of high-flying Portsmouth.
They will also go into their trip at London Road on October 21 full of confidence as they are currently unbeaten in their last three against the Posh, with the trio of successful results all coming last season.
A 3-1 victory at Adams Park in October 2022, was followed by a 3-0 away win on New Year's Day, with an EFL Trophy draw (which Wanderers would win on penalties 4-3), sandwiched in between.
The league triumphs made it only the third time the Chairboys had done the double over the Posh, as they have only lost two of the seven against the Cambridgeshire-based team.
🕊️ It's great to see that the Peterborough fans are getting behind the minute's applause for Wycombe fan Dave Finch, who passed away recently.#Chairboys #PUFC https://t.co/ZJfShZZ7aH

Lowdown on Peterborough
The Posh are desperate for promotion after their shock play-off semi-final defeat in May, when they became the first team in history to concede a 4-0 aggregate lead against eventual winners, Sheffield Wednesday.
They have begun the 2023/24 season in fine form as they currently sit in fourth place, winning six of their 12 league games so far.
Additionally, they are unbeaten in their last six league matches with their most previous defeat being against Portsmouth at the start of September.

They will no doubt want revenge over Wycombe following the two losses last year, and it’s important to note that Darren Ferguson’s record against Wanderers is quite impressive.
Out of the nine games he has taken charge versus the Chairboys in his career, he has won four, drawn four, and lost one.
