Former Wycombe Wanderers defender Mike Willamson has become the new manager of the Chairboys’ county rivals, Milton Keynes.
The 39-year-old, who spent four-and-a-half years at Adams Park where he played 167 times and scored 12 goals between 2004 and 2009, is the latest main in the MK hot seat following the departure of Graham Alexander after just five months.
He leaves Gateshead after five years (four years as their manager), to take over the role.

Speaking on his arrival at Buckinghamshire’s second formed EFL team, he said: “I’m excited and I can’t wait to get started
“It’s been a quick turnaround and it was a tough decision to leave Gateshead but when a Club like this comes in, it’s a no brainer.
“Everything the club epitomises was really attractive to me and my team. For us, it was about finding somewhere that was aligned with the way we see the game and would back us in doing that - this is the right club for us to do that.”
