Former Wycombe Wanderers manager Peter Taylor has left his role as manager at a Non League Club.
The 70-year-old, who helped the Chairboys earn promotion to League One during the 2008/09 season, had been in charge of Maldon and Tiptree of the Isthmian League North Division, until his departure on August 20.
His exit comes just two weeks into the new season following his arrival at the Essex-based team in December 2022.
Maldon and Tiptree FC would like to announce the departure of our 1st team manager, Peter Taylor. We sincerely thank Peter for his dedicated time with the club and the contributions he has made during his tenure. We wish him all the best. 🍓

Mitchell Cowling, who is the club’s general manager, said: “Making this decision so early into a season was not an easy one.
“I had a lengthy conversation with Peter and expressed my apologies for the need to implement changes to the club's structure.
“I want to clarify that this decision is not based on results or performance, but rather a strategic direction I believe is necessary.
Congrats to Wycombe Wanderers who won promotion to League One by a goal diff of just 1 - Well done Peter Taylor all the Chair-boys!

“I value Peter's dedication and hard work.
“I will be wishing him success and rooting for him in his future endeavours."
Taylor joined Wanderers, then of League Two, in May 2008 following the departure of Paul Lambert and masterminded Wycombe’s promotion to League One that season.
However, he was fired in October 2009 following a poor run of results.

The Chairboys were eventually relegated that year back to League Two at the end of that season [2009/10].
