Wycombe Wanderers will go into their opening day fixture against Exeter City full of confidence, as statistics show the Chairboys have got one of the best winning records for the season’s first weekend.
Conducted by the Online Betting Guide, the numbers show that the Adams Park club have won 60 per cent of their opening day matches in the past 10 years.

They are top alongside Peterborough United who also have won 60 per cent of their fixtures on the inaugural weekend of the season.
The team with the lowest winning percentage is Bristol Rovers, as the Pirates have failed to win any any opening day fixture in the last decade.
Their last win on the season’s curtain raiser came in August 2011, when they defeated AFC Wimbledon 3-2.
