Wycombe Wanderers manager Matt Bloomfield has revealed that he has ‘got a clear direction’ in where he wants to take the club for next season.
The Chairboys will end their 2022/23 campaign with a trip to Portsmouth on May 7, with the two clubs finishing in eighth or ninth place.
Going into the final fixture of the year, Wanderers have confirmed that Sam Vokes, David Wheeler, Joe Jacobson, Jack Grimmer, Jason McCarthy, and Josh Scowen have all signed new deals to stay at Adams Park for next season, along with Max Stryjek.

But he admitted that whilst the players mentioned above came from the previous management, he is aiming to put his ‘own stamp on things’ once the transfer window opens, and when the new season starts.
He said: “The lads and my staff have been working hard for the end of the season, and of course, there was a huge level of disappointment from the result on Saturday due to the performance.
“We need to make sure that our performance levels are right for when we go to Portsmouth.

“I’ve watched the Cheltenham game back twice and have taken a lot of information about the players, myself, and the situation that we are in along with the job ahead.
“The last two weeks have been really good in terms of what I want to do moving forward and how we do that.
“I’ve got a lot of respect for the job that I have come into and the job that was done previously, but the time is right for me to put my own stamp on things and make the team my own.

“We’ve got an idea of what we want to do but we need to look at what we’ve already got in the building first and foremost.

“This is a really important weekend for myself and the boys to make sure we approach everything in the right manner.
"But, I can say that training this week has seen high intensity and tempo and that won’t change on Sunday.
“Any team that represents me will represent high tempo and intensity.”
