Wycombe Wanderers manager Matt Bloomfield has called Sam Vokes a ‘fantastic man who is very humble’ after the latter signed a new one-year contract with the club.
The 33-year-old would have been out of contract come this summer in what has been an injury-hit season for the Welsh forward.

But he has pledged his commitment to the Adams Park side, and this greatly pleases Bloomfield.
The boss said: “Being a fan and manager at the same time, it’s great to hear about Sam.
“He is a fantastic man who is very humble, hardworking, and he will do everything he can for this club.
“He is probably the biggest signing in our history in terms of the stature within the game and he’s not disappointed anyone yet.
