Former Wycombe Wanderers boss Gareth Ainsworth has praised ex-winger Anis Mehmeti after the latter made his full international debut for Albania.
The 22-year-old, who left the Chairboys in January this season to join Bristol City, made his bow for his native country in their 1-0 loss against Poland on March 27.
He played the final 20 minutes of the Euro 2024 qualifier.
Speaking on Mehmeti, who Ainsworth signed as a free agent at Wycombe in the autumn of 2020 when the club were in the Championship, he told journalist Harry Ware: "I called him last week to congratulate him on his call-up.
