Wycombe Wanderers boss Matt Bloomfield has described Deji Oshilaja’s tackle on Lewis Wing as ‘rash’ in the Chairboys’ 2-1 defeat against Burton Albion on March 11.
The former Charlton Athletic man received his marching orders right on the stroke of half-time from referee Lee Swarby, who deemed his challenge on Wanderers’ number 10 as dangerous.
Wanderers were 2-0 down at the time of the red card, yet despite having 21 shots on goal which included a missed penalty from Joe Jacobson, along with Tjay De Barr’s last header with five minutes remaining, Burton held on for their fifth win in eight games.

The centre back went in late on Wing and he's been given his marching orders.
No complaints from Oshilaja.
Could this be a turning point?

Speaking on the foul, Bloomfield said: “The tackle looked quite rash for me and it did change my team talk as it was right on half-time.
“I had everything planned out in what I wanted to say so the sending off did alter my plans for the second half.
“I am all for full-hearted challenges but this one looked rash.
“I haven’t seen it back but when you go into tackles like that, you’re endangering your opponent.

Oshilaja sent off. Goes in hard on Wing, referee seems to have adjudged him to be out of control.

“Down the other end, we had chances ourselves so it was really disappointing to find ourselves behind but we did get a foothold in the game.
“We had plenty of chances across the game, there were plenty of bodies between the posts, JJ’s penalty.”
