Wycombe Wanderers club captain Joe Jacobson has opened up about the different positions he has played in this season.
The full-back, who is in his ninth season with the Chairboys, has been deployed as a left-sided centre back in a three-man defence for sections during the campaign.
He has also played in his natural left-back role in a back four.
Speaking on his positions, Jacobson said: “They both have their pluses for me.
“I like being inside more as I feel as if I’m in the game more.

“I really thrive at reading the game and putting in latch ditch tackles and stuff like that I really enjoy doing.
“Being at full back, you get forward a lot more and join in on the attacks which is great too.
“But as long as I’m playing then I’m happy but both positions can be enjoyable in different ways.
“Put me anywhere I’ll be happy.
“I’m playing football with my mates infront of thousands of people, there is nothing to not enjoy!”
The 36-year-old also spoke about the ‘seamless transition’ in Gareth Ainsworth’s exit and Matt Bloomfield’s re-arrival.

“The transition was seamless because even though the gaffer [Bloomfield] had been away, when he came back it was as if he hadn’t gone.
“He knows everyone here and he has come in with his own ideas.
“He didn’t want to change too much as we were in a good place when he first arrived, but he has got his ideas on how they want to do this, and it’s down to us to get behind that and try and put them in place.
“It’s been really good."
