Wycombe Wanderers manager Matt Bloomfield believes this weekend’s trip to Burton Albion ‘will be another tough test’ as they aim to close in on the play-offs.
They take on a Brewers side who have spent the vast majority of the season in the relegation zone, but have picked up form in recent weeks.
After winning just three of their opening 20 league games of the campaign, which began with a 3-0 away loss against the Chairboys on the first weekend of 2022/23, they have gone onto pick up four victories in their last seven outings.

Speaking ahead of the trip to the Pirelli Stadium, Bloomfield said: “Burton will be another tough game just like Shrewsbury, Exeter and Fleetwood.
“League One is full of really good teams and Dino has done a brilliant job since taking over there.
“We have to make sure that we’re ready for the test that will come and have belief in ourselves of what we are trying to do and be the best that we can possibly be.

Bloomfield revealed that the midfielder had ‘picked up a knock’ on Saturday and that he was ‘touch and go’ for tonight.
He hopes he’ll be back fit for Wycombe’s away trip to Burton on Saturday.#Chairboys
“Burton are on good form and we saw it with Fleetwood the other night, so we know how Dino could set up, he’s a well-respected manager who has been in the game a long time, and he knows how to get results from his players.

“They have a lot of energy and have recruited quite well and we know this will be a different Burton team to the one that we played at the start of the season.”
Out of the 16 minutes between the two clubs, there has never been a draw – eight wins each.
