The Bucks Free Press understands that Gareth Ainsworth’s potential move to Queens Park Rangers is ‘on the cards’ after talks with the Wycombe manager allegedly took place on February 20.
The 49-year-old has been linked with the Loftus Road job after the Hoops fired Neil Critchley following one victory in 12 games.
It is important to remember that 'having talks' does not necessarily mean a move is concrete.

Ainsworth only signed an extension with Wycombe in the summer with that deal expiring in 2025.#Chairboys 👇https://t.co/oIhp5x40aK
A source close to the Free Press revealed that the West London club's pursuit of Ainsworth ‘looks likely’, although no official confirmation from Wanderers has been released as of yet.
