Wycombe right-back Jason McCarthy has insisted that ‘players can’t be selfish’ if they aim to push the club forward for a play-off position.
The Chairboys currently sit in eighth place, just three points off the top six, and take on in-form Derby County next at Adams Park.
The crunch match against the Rams, who are unbeaten in their last 15 league games, will be the first meeting between the two sides at the stadium with spectators being present, with the away end expected to be full on February 11.

And with Wanderers also enjoying a good run of form, which has seen them lose just three times since November and keep seven clean sheets in 11 games, McCarthy firmly believes that ‘the team comes first’.
This comes after manager Gareth Ainsworth has changed his back line six times in the last eight games.
Speaking to the press ahead of Derby’s visit to Buckinghamshire, McCarthy said: “We have been solid with both three and four at the back, mainly down to our adaptability.
“The backline has changed throughout the season but not dramatically and whoever has been there, we have played really well together.

“This has resulted in all the clean sheets that we have kept and Max [Stryjek] has been brilliant every time he has been called upon.
“We’ve got players that are playing really well at the moment, but everyone contributes to help keep the clean sheets.
“It’s great, and if we continue to do this, then it will put us in good stead for the rest of the season.
"It’s a strength that we can change our defence and still keep clean sheets."
On the regular changes to the backline, McCarthy added: “Everyone wants to play, and a player would be lying to you if they said they were happy not to play.

“Everyone wants to play but the team/club is always bigger than the individual.
“Players can’t be selfish, so they need to put their desires to one side and help the team.
“If we want to achieve and have success this season, then being selfish is not an option.
“You have to put the team first.
“That also shows the power of our group.”
McCarthy has played 24 times across all competitions and has scored once.
