Aberdeen and former Wycombe Wanderers defender Anthony Stewart is expected to make a shock return to Buckinghamshire…by signing for Milton Keynes.
Reports from the Daily Record in Scotland have suggested that the 30-year-old central defender is looking for a way out of Pittodrie, following a mixed period north of the English border.

Stewart, who was made club captain of Aberdeen when he joined the side last summer, has played 29 times and scored once.
However, his performances during the festive period have come under heavy criticism, as the ex-fan favourite at Adams Park was sent off twice in the space of four matches.
He also played in Aberdeen’s shock 2-1 Scottish FA Cup defeat against Darvel, and in the 6-0 league loss at Hibernian.
The latter resulted in the sacking of their manager, Jim Goodwin after 11 months in charge.

His expected arrival in the north of Bucks will come as a big boost for the struggling League One side, as they only have four current central defenders available.
The deal is set to go through this evening [January 31].
