Wycombe Wanderers have confirmed the signing of Hull City goalkeeper Harvey Cartwright on loan until the rest of the season.

The 20-year-old, who has played three times for the Tigers, will act as a backup to current number one, Max Stryjek.

This will mean Tyla Dickinson, who began the campaign as first choice due to the Nathan Bishop deal from Manchester United falling through, will be third in the pecking order at Wanderers, whilst Josh Blunkell will be the fourth choice shot-stopper at Adams Park.

Cartwright will wear the number 38 shirt for the club.

Hull manager Liam Rosenior said of the transfer: "It's a great loan.

"If I could pick a club for him to learn the rigors of first-team football under a manager, it would be Gareth [Ainsworth].

"It's a great football club and Barry Richardson has got a great relationship with Wycombe.

"We will be keeping close tabs on him as I think he will be a huge benefit for us [Hull City], but he needs to play games and I think [going to] Wycombe will be a fantastic loan for him."
