Current Form and Background on Plymouth

After missing out on the play-off places on the final day of last season, Plymouth have dusted themselves down and taken the current campaign by storm.

Argyle currently sit top of the table and are the only team this season to reach 50 points.

They have won 15 of their 23 league games since July 30 (the most of any team in the division), and have only been defeated on three occasions, which is the joint fewest along with Sheffield Wednesday who sit in third, and Ipswich Town who are in second.

And despite having a slight dip in form between November 12 and December 10, where they only picked up three points from 12 available, they have won their last two games and have not dropped out of the automatic promotion places since September.

Plymouth also boasts one of the best home records across the entirety of the four top leagues, as they have won 10 of their 11 League One games at Home Park.

Their only blimp was a 2-0 loss against Port Vale on December 2.
