The saying goes that there is ‘no place like home’, but Wycombe will be relieved that their next two games are away from Adams Park with back-to-back trips to Gloucestershire to face Forest Green Rovers and Cheltenham Town.
With below-par performances by the team, low attendances, and a subdued atmosphere in the stands, Adams Park is fast losing its reputation as a fortress where visiting teams feared to tread.
The recent run of four successive home games produced a miserable return of just two points in League One and defeat against lower division opposition in the First Round of the FA Cup.

But are things as bad as they seem?
With a record of W3 D3 L3, Wanderers currently sit mid-way in the table for league points gained at home.
Only six teams have scored more goals on home soil while nine teams have conceded more.
However, there is no doubt that the mood at Adams Park has been very flat in recent weeks, and Wycombe fans are known for creating a better atmosphere when the team is playing away.
With confidence at a low ebb, the players will need all the help they can get when they take on Forest Green Rovers at the splendidly named Fully Charged New Lawn Stadium on Saturday, November 12.

Under their eccentric chairman Dale Vince, Rovers are unique.
Vince introduced eco-friendly features to their stadium including solar panels, an organic pitch, vegetarian food, and a playing kit made from recycled materials.
FIFA describes them as the ‘greenest team in the world’ but their success has come from winning football matches.

Wycombe have won all three previous meetings between the clubs, and if they can maintain that record on Saturday it will help to lift the doom and gloom of recent weeks.
