Wycombe Wanderers boss Gareth Ainsworth has thanked all of the Chairboys fans that made the trip to Stadium MK on October 22.
The fixture saw his side defeat the north Bucks outfit for only the third time in their history in Milton Keynes since their first meeting in 2006.

The things you do for your club. Got to Euston, got on the train, train left station, train turned back. Now in a £170 Uber to get to MK as signalling problems. All the fun of a @wwfcofficial away day! Are we gonna get there for kick off?!! The countdown is on 💙

However, prior to kick-off, numerous Wycombe supporters took to Twitter to express their concerns as many trains in London were delayed.
Some had to take unorthodox routes to Buckinghamshire’s only city, with a number of fans having to pay a three-figure sum for taxi fares.
Speaking on the travelling support, Ainsworth said: “After three straight defeats there was a bit of doom and gloom, but I have always said to stay with us and they did.

“Apparently some spent around £170 for an Uber to get here because the trains let them down.
“Thank you so much as that is commitment.

Have to commend them all for staying to watch defeat after defeat. Top set of fans. 👏🏼

I’ll all seriousness, they are the worst team I’ve seen in L1 this season and they should be very worried. pic.twitter.com/y0YbvnU70H
“That means so much to us because when you found out stuff like that it’s just awesome.
“They out sang the MK fans just like we did in the play-off semi-final all afternoon and they got their rewards.
“Thank you so much.
Exactly the same thing for me. Left Colchester early in the morning, then to Euston and now to Flitwick from St Pancras. Hope we all make it! https://t.co/clluzGiZmx

“I know how hard it is with the cost of living at the moment and they’re paying a couple of hundred to get a taxi to MK to watch their team play and that’s commitment.
“I’ll be letting the boys know.”
The attendance for the fixture was 7,377.
