Plymouth Argyle manager Steven Schumacher admits that his side ‘rode their luck’ as the League One table-toppers defeated Wycombe Wanderers 1-0 at Adams Park.
Sam Cosgrove scored the winner after just seven minutes via the penalty spot following a Daryl Horgan on the striker.
The goal came on what was his first start for the club, as the Pilgrims ended a seven-match winless run against the Chairboys, which dated back to September 2015.
Honestly, where do you think Wycombe will finish this season? #Chairboys

In that time, Wanderers have won five and drawn two, which included doing the double of the Devon-based club last season with an aggregate score of 5-0.
Speaking after the match at Adams Park, Schumacher told the press: “They [Plymouth] were outstanding.
“They were outstanding because I know how much of a tough place this is to come.

“People have said they are a bogey team, they do this and do that and ‘we never beat Wycombe’, but we figured a plan of how to match Wycombe.
“We did ride our luck a few times, but, we came up with a plan that has worked and they [Plymouth’s fans]’, smiling for once from here.”
The result on Saturday, October 1 was only Plymouth’s third victory over Wycombe since 2012 in 17 matches.
