This weekend’s match between Derby County and Wycombe Wanderers will mark a first for a unique reason.
It’ll be the inaugural occasion that the two teams will play one another with spectators present, following their previous behind-closed-doors matches.
They last met during the 2020/21 season which were played in empty stadiums due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
A trip to Pride Park is next on the billing.

“We were talking earlier [September 15] that Matt Bloomfield’s Championship goal was against Derby, so he’s got great memories of that place and hopefully we will have a few more good memories this weekend.
“It’s a tough place to go but we will prepare right and hopefully we can get a decent result, but we are ourselves a tough team, and I love that.”
