A man was punched in the head in an unprovoked attack in a High Wycombe street.
The 46-year-old was in Desborough Road at around 10.40pm on June 12 when he was attacked.
The unknown attacker punched him in the head, knocking him to the ground.
The man was left with scratches, cuts and bruises to his head and eyes and his body was bruised from the fall.
He was taken to Wycombe Hospital but has now been released.
The attack was unprovoked and none of the man's belongings were stolen.
The man who attacked him is described as being white, aged around 30, and was about 1.9m tall.
He had short blond hair, was wearing shorts at the time and was driving a silver car.
Investigation Support Officer Eric Lunn of the Investigation Unit at High Wycombe police station said:
“We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the assault, or may have information about the suspect to contact us.
“We also encourage any drivers who may have dash cam footage of the moments leading up to the assault, or the assault itself to get in contact.
“Thames Valley Police takes assaults seriously. Members of the public have the right to feel safe when out and about and we are investigating thoroughly.
