Four members of Gerrards Cross Bowls club won the British Isles Championships at the end of June.
Kirk Smith, Tom McGuinness, John McGuinness and David Ross were part of a squad that defeated Wales in the semi-finals and the Republic of Ireland in the showpiece to win the competition for England.
The foursome had won the English National Title in 2019 but following the Covid-19 pandemic which began in March 2020, the group had to wait three years until they were able to partake in one of the most prestigious events in the bowls calendar.
It is the first time in the club's history that four players at the same time have won the competition.
