The entertainer lives in the area and is a frequent spectator at the Meadow.
Taking to social media, he jokingly announced that he had been signed by the Generals to play up-front, before confirming that he is the latest member to join their board.
He said: “I am now an official director on the board at Chesham United.
“I genuinely could not be any more excited and I hope to be adding more of my thoughts to this club.
A fine man and a fine club. Delighted to see @AlexHorne appointed as a director at @CheshamUtdFC. I suspect Alex would be delighted if you could find a few £ to support @jakedpeck123 who suffered a horrific double leg break last weekend: https://t.co/Ct8PdLuanh 💜💙 https://t.co/0dY6GPPFjy

“Let’s see what happens and please come to the Meadow and watch Chesham United, and you’ll probably see me up there (the director’s box), chanting my own name.”
Chesham United currently play in the Southern League Premier Division South.
