Number 5, The Oak, Aston Clinton
Hidden away in the village of Aston Clinton near Aylesbury, The Oak has been regarded as one of the best places to go in the county for a roast dinner.
The 'go to' on their large menu is their very popular beef brisket, with the establishment also having a nut option.
They also provide roast lamb, chicken and pork, but these options are not always on the menu when Sunday comes along.
This reviewer on Trip Advisor said: “Staff here are warm and friendly and provide an excellent service.
“Had the roast dinner and could not fault it - it was the best I have eaten outside my own home.
“The amount of meat you got, which was beef brisket and perfectly cooked, was huge.

Number 4, Three Oaks, Gerrards Cross
With an impressive 874 reviews on Trip Advsior, it is no surprise that the Three Oaks in Gerrards Cross is highly spoken of.
The Austenwood venue has been ranked as the second best restaurant in the town out of 21, and has a whopping 624 ‘excellent reviews’ and 169 ‘very good’ reviews.
Their roasts are also well-received with numerous people taking to the site to praise their popular dishes, as this person said: “So happy to have been back for the wonderful Sunday Roast.
This was our first time out since lockdown and as always it's a lovely welcome at The Three Oaks, we felt very safe with all social distancing in place, tables far apart and constant cleaning going on.”

Number 3, The Chandos Arm, Weston Turville
This hidden gem in Weston Turville is based a short drive away from Aylesbury and is known for their very friendly staff, high quality food and large garden space – perfect for all the friends and family as the summer months approach.
And of course, their Sunday Roasts are good too.
The Main Street pub is one of many venues in the numerous villages that surround Aylesbury, and with 164 ‘excellent’ reviews from the 257 they have accumulated, you know this is a place to try out, as their Sunday Roasts tend to be a big hit.

“Felt really Covid-safe which was great.
"Well laid out tables and lots of space to keep to two metres.

Number 2, The Squirrel Pub, High Wycombe
With 278 ‘excellent’ reviews out of 322, the Squirrel in High Wycombe is certainly one to visit if you are looking for a Sunday Roast to feast on.
On the website, they have a whopping 40 positive reviews regarding their roasts, with two users also describing them as good, and with a variety of options, you’ll be spoiled for choice.
This user said: “Had a delicious Easter Sunday roast lunch delivered on time and hot.
“The portion sizes were very generous and it was reasonably priced.
"I had the lamb, recommended.”

Number 1, The Cross Keys, Milton Keynes
It wouldn’t be a ‘best’ article if there wasn’t an establishment from Milton Keynes on the list, and to take the top spot, it is the Cross Keys on Newport Road.
With an incredible 1,559 reviews – 1,193 being ‘excellent’, the venue has been ranked as the fifth best restaurant in the town out of 297.
That’s very impressive.
They have got three menus with one being specifically for Sunday and on it, you can either have a roast chicken, pork, beef and lamb if you fancied it.
