Aylesbury’s MP has congratulated the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care on his new role.
Rob Butler MP, took to Twitter on Saturday, June 26 to wish well Sajid Javid, who replaced the outgoing Matt Hancock, who resigned on the same day.
Mr Hancock walked away from the position after it was alleged that he broke lockdown rules, whilst reportedly having an affair with Gina Coladangelo, an adviser in the Department of Health and Social Care.

Mr Butler said: “Many congratulations to Sajid Javid who will be a superb Secretary of State @DHSCgovuk (Department of Health and Social Care), bringing a huge range of experience from both inside and outside government - exactly what's needed to face the myriad challenges in both @NHSuk & social care.

Following his appointment, Mr Javid said: “Honoured to have been asked to serve as Secretary of State for Health and Social Care at this critical time.
“I look forward to contributing to our fight against the pandemic, and serving my country from the Cabinet once again.”
