The high-speed railway has launched a search for tens of graduates to join its workforce in the new year.
HS2 is looking for 40 graduates to join “the largest infrastructure project in Europe”, which will connect the North, Midlands and South.
Candidates have until January 22 to apply for the two-year engineering placement programme to deliver the stations, tunnels and viaducts on the route, which also cuts across Buckinghamshire.
Government’s Rail Minister Huw Merriman said: “This is an excellent opportunity for new graduates, who have a once in a lifetime chance to start their careers on the largest infrastructure project in Europe. They will gain unparalleled experience which will set up their career for decades to come, while working on a pioneering project which will benefit Britain for generations to come.
HS2 is already supporting 29,000 jobs before any trains have “even hit the tracks,” Mr Merriman said.
Head of talent development with HS2 Karen Davis said having all three phases of construction now live meant "2023 will mark our biggest annual intake of new graduate talent."
There will also be further opportunities in the Environment, Hybrid Bill, Project Management, Procurement and Commercial teams, HS2 Ltd said.
