A woman was injured when her car burst into flames on the M25 yesterday morning.
Her car caught on fire between Junction 16 near Denham and Junction 17 in Maple Cross around 8.53am on Monday December 19.
When the fire crew arrived, the car was on fire on lane four on the southbound motorway.
Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “No one was trapped. One woman was out of the car, with minor injuries, before they arrived. The firefighters provided her with immediate emergency care.
“The car was 100 per cent damaged by the fire.”
The full road closure stopped all traffic heading anticlockwise, and queues of up to five miles were reported during the morning rush hour, National Highways reported.
The firefighters from Gerrards Cross used one set of breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, thermal imaging camera and an incident emergency care kit to treat the injured driver.
