THOUSANDS of people joined an Olympic game star to celebrate the one-year anniversary of Chilterns Lifestyle Centre.
Almost 2,000 adults and children marked the anniversary of the Amersham- based Chilterns Lifestyle Centre, which opened its doors to the public on December 6 last year after weeks long delay.
The Welsh hurdles Olympic medallist Colin Jackson joined a rowing and climbing challenge during the fun day full of free activities including swimming, soft play, climbing, squash, badminton, arts and crafts, group exercise classes, bouldering and pickleball on Saturday December 10.
Bucks Council’s Cabinet Member for Culture and Leisure Clive Harriss said: “We are delighted to see how successful the Chilterns Lifestyle Centre has become over the past 12 months.
"It offers a wide array of health, leisure and community facilities for local people in a modern and welcoming space and we know it will continue to grow and develop in coming years.”
