Carousel Buses interim managing director Luke Marion said: “We have carefully considered the needs of our passengers and colleagues at a sensitive and sad time.
“We appreciate many people will want to be with their family on this day and be travelling to locations to pay their respects to Her Majesty the Queen.”
Following the death of Queen Elizabeth at her private residence at Balmoral on September 8, Carousel Buses’ electronic destination displays and paper tickets have carried the message “Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II 1926 – 2022” in recognition and respect for the Monarch’s 70 years of public service.
Passengers planning to travel are advised to check the Carousel Buses’ website or use the travel app to plan their journeys before travelling.
Carousel Buses encouraged its staff working on Monday to wear black if they wish, and take part in the National Moment of Reflection at 8pm on Sunday September 18.
