Chesham United have confirmed that their pre-season friendly against Buckinghamshire rivals Amersham Town has been cancelled.
The match, which was due to take place on Saturday, July 23, has been called off after United revealed on social media ‘that would have seen a mixed squad of players from across the club’ for the fixture.

The match is part of the John Hearn Challenge Cup, which is an annual game between the two teams.
Chesham confirmed that they hope to rearrange the match for later on during the year.
The Generals also revealed that their Under 13s team were victorious in the Southampton Tournament Cup, winning the friendly competition at the Saints’ St Mary’s Stadium in the middle of June.
