A rare sight has been seen at a windmill near Bicester as its sails were turned to mark its official opening for the year.
Brill Windmill underwent major repair work on its sails and braking system last year.
The Brill Society, which manages and maintains the windmill, has created a schedule to keep the sails in good condition.
They will now be turned on the last Sunday of every month at midday.
The windmill is open to visitors from 12.30pm until 3.30pm every Sunday this summer, with adult tickets costing £5 and children entering for free.
The post mill dates from around 1680, although most of the structure has been replaced or rebuilt. The most recent refurbishment was in 2009.
