Floral tributes have been left for a mother who was murdered in broad daylight.
In the afternoon of Saturday, April 6, 27-year-old Kulsuma Akter was stabbed whilst pushing a pram which contained her baby.
The incident happened in the Westgate area of Bradford, West Yorkshire, with Ms Akter passing away later on that day due to her injuries.
Following the incident, a huge manhunt was deployed to try and find a 25-year-old male who might have information on the crime.
The police issued CCTV images of the alleged suspect with the search lasting for three days as the person in question was discovered in Aylesbury on April 9.
Numerous tributes have been left for the mother, with flowers being laid where the incident took place.
Detective Chief Inspector Stacey Atkinson, of West Yorkshire Police’s Homicide and Enquiry Team, said: “This is a tragic incident in which a mother has lost her life in the most horrific of circumstances.
“We understand that this has caused a considerable amount of concern in the local community.
“Local Neighbourhood Policing teams are patrolling the area conducting reassurance to the community.
“We would like to thank Thames Valley Police for their support and assistance in this matter.”
