ON-LOAN Wanderers striker Simon Church has not forgotten where he came from.
The 19-year-old presented the scout who discovered him ten years ago with his first Wales U21 shirt last week.
Tim Pink, the co owner of the Bourne End Motor Company, spotted Church when he was playing for Chalfont Saints U9s in a youth tournament and recommended him to Wycombe Wanderers.
Wanderers snapped him up and five years later, Church was sold to Reading as a 14-year-old in a deal which has already netted Blues £32,000.
Pink, who now works as a Reading scout, said: "It was a really nice surprise when he came in and gave me his shirt. It shows what a nice lad he is."
Church is back at Wanderers now on a month's loan from Reading.
