JOHN Gorman has ruled himself out of the running to be the next Wycombe Wanderers manager.
Gorman, who managed the Blues to the brink of promotion three years ago, was at The Priestfield Stadium yesterday to see the Blues go down 3-2 to Gillingham.
But he says he was there on a scouting mission for his current club QPR and not because he is being lined up as the successor to the sacked Peter Taylor at Adams Park.
He told the Free Press this morning: “I was at Gillingham because Jim Magilton (Rangers manager) had asked me to go along to watch one of their players. It is just a coincidence that the game was against Wycombe.
“I haven’t spoken to anyone about the Wycombe job. I haven’t been approached and from what I understand they have got someone in mind.
“It’s nice to be complimented and to hear that some people would want me back but I am very happy at QPR working with Jim Magilton.
“I wish whoever gets the Wycombe job good luck and they will always be able to come to me looking for players on loan.”
