Beaconsfield Town boss Gary Meakin expressed his delight as seeing his side gain promotion after a 4-0 thrashing of AFC Dunstable last night.
A Tony Mendy brace, an own-goal by Danny Murphy and a Lee Barney strike ensured The Rams would be plying their trade in the Evo-Stik Premier Division next season.
Meakin said: "It was definitely one of our best performances of the season.
"Without wanting to take anything away from the players, I think they possibly had one eye on the play-offs as they are better than that but we played very well and deserved the win."
At the start of the season, the club had a revamp with Meakin taking the managerial reins and a new board taking charge.
When asked if promotion was the aim at the start, Meakin explained: "No it wasn't.
"The chairman wanted us to be competitive and see where we end up.
"We had a chat on the coaching staff and we believed we could get to the play-offs and that was our aim.
"It is fantastic that we have gone one better."
The away form has been fantastic this term, with Town picking up a whopping 49 points on their travels.
With automatic promotion confirmed, Meakin now wants to have a go at the title.
He added: "It is a bonus for us that we are in this position so we will be going for the title in our last two games.
"If we don't get it, it isn't the end of the world. It would just be the cherry on top of the cake."
