JUNIOR Morias and Lee Angol both scored on their Hendon debuts last night as the Greens beat Croydon in the London Senior Cup.
Both teenagers joined the Ryman Premier League side on five week loan deals on Monday and wasted little time in opening their senior goalscoring accounts.
Morias netted a first half penalty to give his new side a 1-0 lead, which they held until three minutes from time when their opponents levelled.
But that sparked Hendon back into life as they retook the lead a minute later before Angol rounded things off with an injury time strike.
Blues boss Gareth Ainsworth said he hopes the transfer will toughen the duo up.
He has high hopes for Morias, who has made 17 appearances for Wanderers this season, but says more game time is crucial to his development.
He said: "Junior has started a couple of games for me but blown up, by his own admission. He wants to do 90 minutes more often and hopefully this will be a chance for him. I think he can make a real impact in games.
"We can add to his game and get him to become a starter. He's only 17 so he's got plenty of time to develop his lasting ability in games."
It's a slightly different scenario for former Spurs youngster Angol however, who has yet to feature for Blues since Ainsworth became manager.
The Wanderers boss said: "Lee Angol has got great skill. He can last 90 minutes, for him it's more the toughening up side and realising what 90 minutes with other men who rely on results for a living."
Ainsworth said personal experience had taught him the loan moves would be good for the two youngsters.
He said: "I went to Northwich Victoria when I was 18 and learnt a lot about football. I was playing against some big men and in those days they didn't take any prisoners.
"Hopefully it can toughen the boys up and let them know in football you have to have the technique, you have to have the skill - now it's about that desire and will to win at all costs. It's crucial for their development."
