A Beaconsfield drama group has raised a fantastic £10,000 for Thames Hospicecare.
Chiltern Shakespeare Company performed Romeo and Juliet this year at Hall Barn in Beaconsfield.
The company has been entertaining audiences with Shakespeare plays for the last 20 years and at the same time raises funds for deserving charities.
Felicity Norrie, vice president of Chiltern Shakespeare said: “We have supported local hospices several times over the past 10 years as they do such excellent work and our level of contribution can make a real difference to them.
“This time we are hoping our funds can be used to expand the Hospice at Home service which is such a valuable development.”
The Beaconsfield and High Wycombe Lions supervised the car parking at each of the nine performances and helped raise donations from the playgoers.
