THIS time last year Leigh-Anne Pinnock was working in Pizza Hut in High Wycombe – now she’s on the verge of a Christmas number one.
The singing star was part of the Little Mix group that were crowned the 2011 X Factor winners at Wembley this evening.
The 19-year-old – along with the rest of the group – were left stunned after topping the public vote, with Leigh-Anne describing the experience as “insane”.
Speaking on ITV2’s The Xtra Factor, she said: “Our dreams have come true. It’s like, what’s going on?
“We never expected to get this far, let alone win.
“It’s insane. We’re so grateful to everyone who voted, thank you so much.”
Leigh-Anne added: “I saw something in us, I knew there was something special.
“We’re here, we’ve done it, we’ve won.”
Every member of the group said they wanted to celebrate with their families.
In a clip recorded during the preparations for this evening’s show Leigh-Anne said: “It’s not only going to change my life, it’s going to change my family’s life.”
