THIS is the man police want to speak to after a man was sprayed in the face with a ‘noxious substance’ during a burglary in Downley last week.
The 35-year-old victim needed hospital treatment for an eye injury after the attack at a house in The Pastures on Tuesday September 13.
He had disturbed burglars at his home at around midday.
A 19-year-old man arrested this morning has been released without charge, prompting Thames Valley Police to release the e-fit.
Investigating officer Det Con Richard Earl said: “I am confident that someone in High Wycombe will know recognise the man in the e-fit and I would strongly urge them to come forward either by contacting myself or Crimestoppers anonymously.
“The burglary took place at 12pm on 13 September in The Pastures. There were pedestrians in the area at the time and I would again urge them to make themselves known to me.
“I am especially keen to speak to two witnesses, a white woman in her mid-thirties who was pushing a buggy with a toddler in it near to the bus stop, and a black woman in her mid-forties who was sitting at the bus stop.”
Anyone with any information should contact Det Constable Earl on 0845 8 505 505 or the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
