TWO High Wycombe brothers were sentenced to prison today for beating a man who held family members captive in one of their own homes.

Munir Hussain, 52, was jailed for 30 months and his brother Tokeer, 35, was sentenced to 39 months in prison at Reading Crown Court.

Munir, a former Race Equality Council chief, and Tokeer were found guilty of GBH with intent at a trial in September.

The attack took place on September 3 2008 in Desborough Park Road, the street where the defendants lived.

The court heard earlier that the victim of the attack, Waled Salem, 56, was one of at least three men who held the Hussain family at knifepoint in their own home. He suffered brain damage in the attack and was found to have falsely imprisoned the family at a separate trial.
