A man was treated for burns and a temporary road closure put in place after a van fire in Gerrards Cross last night.
Two fire engines and crews from Gerrards Cross and Beaconsfield were called to Windsor Road at around 5:50pm yesterday, Tuesday, September 17.
They found a van “well alight” on the stretch and used two sets of breathing apparatus and hose reel jets to rescue passengers.
A spokesperson for the Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said emergency care was provided to man suffering with burns and that the van was “100 per cent destroyed” by the fire.
A detached garage was also damaged in the blaze, and Thames Valley Police enforced a temporary road closure until the scene could be cleared.
The road had fully reopened by Wednesday morning, with no other reported casualties from the incident or information about what caused it.
