A man has been fined over £1,500 by a court after driving above the national speed limit on the M4.
Allen John Chilten, 44, of Castell Grove, Amersham, drove on the M4 at 81 miles per hour, over 10mph above the national limit.
The incident was captured on a traffic camera near Burghfield, and Chilten was subsequently prosecuted for speeding.
The defendant appeared before High Wycombe Magistrates' Court on February 6.
There, he pleaded guilty to the charge against him.
Magistrates fined Chilten £1,153.
This means that, in all, he faces £1,704 in fines and court costs.
On top of this, he must pay a £461 victim surcharge, and £90 in court costs.
He was disqualified from driving for six months, and had his licence endorsed with three penalty points.
