Heavy traffic was spotted along a busy main in Chalfont St Peter due to a pony and trap race.
At around 5.35pm on Tuesday, April 16, a large cluster of vehicles was spotted on the A40 (Oxford Road) heading towards the village.
At first glance, it wasn’t clear how or why the queue was caused due to a heavy goods vehicle moving very slowly at the front.
But after a few moments, it was revealed that two men were each riding a horse attached to a cart.
The dangerous act caused concern as one horse went behind a moving car, whilst another walked to the other side of the road, which has a speed limit of 50mph.
It’s not the first pony and trap races near the village, as a video shot in June 2023 showed a horse being dragged in Gerrards Cross.
