A man has been fined after being caught drunk in Amersham with a quantity of cannabis on his person.
Edwin Sapsford, 22, of Bois Avenue, Amersham, appeared before High Wycombe Magistrates' Court on February 21.
There, he pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in a public place - and indicated a guilty plea to a cannabis possession charge.
This comes after an incident on January 22 this year.
Sapsford was caught in Plantation Way, Amersham, behaving disorderly while under the influence.
When searched, cannabis was found on him.
Magistrates handed Sapsford an £80 fine.
In addition, they ordered that the cannabis be forfeited and destroyed.
In 2016, Buckinghamshire Council estimated there were around 25,000 illegal drug users in the county.
This figure was an estimate based on national trends - and is lower than the average for south-eastern England.
Cannabis is, by far, the most common drug used by adults locally.
