A man has died after crashing into a wall and suffering a "medical episode". Police have confirmed the news after the incident saw the town centre road closed for over an hour. The collision took place on Stratford Road in Wolverton at around 3.20pm on Tuesday, December 20. The incident closed Stratford Road as police and Thames Valley Air Ambulance were called to the incident to provide "advanced critical care". The roads reportedly reopened at around 5.10pm, according to the traffic data company Inrix. Armed units from Thames Valley Police were called to the scene, however, the Bucks Free Press understands that there was no threat to the wider public. A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said: "This was a medical episode, where very sadly, a man, the driver of a vehicle passed away. "It was initially reported as a road traffic collision as the vehicle came into contact with a wall at low speed. "The death is being treated as unexplained, but not suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner, and our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who has died." A Thames Valley Air Ambulance spokesperson said: "I can confirm that our helicopter was dispatched at 3.20pm yesterday to provide advanced critical care at an incident in the Wolverton area of Milton Keynes."
